Kai Dashboard: See All AI Actions in One Place and Improve Performance

by Nelson Joyce
New

The Kai dashboard gives Admin and Editor user types a single place to see all the actions Kai has taken across your Tettra account and improve it's performance.

This lets you keep an eye on what Kai is up to and help it improve answers over time.

Here you'll find:

  1. All questions Kai has been asked (and which ones it was able to answer)

  2. What sources it has indexed

  3. The tags it's generated for pages

  4. The Slack threads you've summarized and saved in Tettra

  5. The existing answers it's saved from Slack

Read more about how the Kai dashboard works here.

Index Google Docs for Search and Kai Answers

by Nelson Joyce
New

You can now connect Google Drive folders to Tettra so you can search for Google Docs and have Kai use them as a source when answering questions. This allows you keep existing content in Google Docs, without having to import it into Tettra.

This also allows you to search for those Google Docs right within Tettra.

Existing users can reconnect their Google Workspace account in their team settings to grant the new permissions, then select the folders they want Tettra to access. Only Google Docs in the folders you select will be accessible to Tettra/Kai. Support for other file types will come in the future.

Upload and view PDFs directly in Tettra

by Nelson Joyce
New

Today, a lot of company information is trapped in pdfs via onboarding guides, sales one-pagers, and more. Trying to import these richly formatted pdfs into Tettra as pages often doesn’t work well due to our intentionally simple page editor.

To solve this problem, we added the ability for you to directly upload, organize, and view pdfs in Tettra as you would a page without having to convert it. This helps you get this content into Tettra quickly while keeping the existing formatting.

Documents are fully searchable and Kai will also be able to use PDF content to answer your teams questions as well.

[AI Beta] Instant Answers in Slack

by Nelson Joyce
New

We’ve been furiously building AI capabilities into Tettra over the past few months and are ready to roll out some of this functionality to an initial beta group.

Here’s how it works:

You've done a lot of work to build and maintain an up-to-date knowledge base, so making it easy for your team to use it to get answers is a top priority.

Once you enable this beta, our new AI powered Tettrabot will read your entire Tettra knowledge base and use it to answer your teammates’ questions right in slack without any extra work. Tettrabot will also show you where it found that answer.

Because this feature is still in beta, Tettrabot may always give an answer. If you tell Tettrabot it gave a bad answer, we'll use the feedback to improve answers over time.

How to enable the AI Slack Bot beta

  1. Click on your team name on the top left to access the menu.

  2. Choose Team settings.

  3. Click on Admin settings.

  4. After reviewing the terms of service, check the box next to Enable AI features.

We'll be improving the AI functionality over time and may reach out to you for feedback. Please let us know if you have any feedback or if things could be improved.

You will also be automatically get the additional AI features we have in development (more on that soon). Let us know if you have any questions about this AI beta at [email protected].

Create a Public Knowledge Base with Tettra

by Nelson Joyce
New

We heard feedback from knowledge managers like you that managing two separate knowledge bases (internal & external) in different systems is a pain. It causes duplicate work and requires your teammates to search in two different places to find accurate answers.

With that feedback in mind, we decided to build External Sites.

External sites lets you turn any Tettra category into a stand alone website that can be either public or team visible. That way, you can manage both knowledge bases in a single system with unified search, and all of Tettra's helpful workflows for keeping knowledge up-to-date and useful.

Here's an example of a published external site from our own account: support.tettra.com

Here’s instructions for how to set up your own external site.
